About AGT Laboratories:

AGT Laboratories is the first private company in Uganda to use biotechnology thru tissue culture techniques for micro propagation of different crops on a commrecial basis.

AGT Laboratories is currently the biggest tissue culture laboratory in East and Central Africa with the capacity to produce up-to 10 million plantlets per year (depending on the type of crop).

Mr.Erostus W.Njuki-Nsubuga.(MSc Agric; MBA Int.Marketing)
  • Mr. Nsubuga is the founder of AGT Group and he is the Chairman and Chief Exuctive of the company. He is an entrpreneur with vast experience in international marketing in Africa, Asia and Europe. Mr. Nsubuga is also the Chairman- National Crop Resources Research Institute (NaCRRI) in Uganda from 2006-2009 and he's still sitting on the board of the same institute to date. He has been the Chairman of the Presidential Investors Round table(PIRT) with the responsibility for Agribusiness in Uganda with a duty to advise the President of Uganda on Agricultural business Investment in the country for 2007-2010. He is also the current chairman of Tissue Culture Business Network (TCBN) in East and central Africa and he holds many other portfolios.
Prof. Julius Y.K. Kitungulu Zake:
  • Prof. Zake is a renown soil scientist and has been a lecturer at Makerere University in Uganda for over 40 years. He's now retired and works as a private consultant at different organisations and institutions. He's a Chairman and boardmemember of different national and international organisations and institutions including: Chairman of Africa 2000 network; Chairman Katikiro advisory committee on Agriculture; Director research and developmenT -National Union of Coffee Agribusiness and Farm Enterprises(NUCAFE) in Uganda.He's a fellow member of Uganda national academy of science and others.
Prof: Micheal J.S Magambo:
  • Prof. Magambo is a crop scientist and has done research work at various institutions including tropical pesticide institute(TPRI) Arusha in TZ, Tea research institute in Kericho Kenya, and has been a lecturer at Kenyatta unversity in Nairobi Kenya and Makerere university - Uganda for 35 years. Prof. Magambo is now retired and he's private consultant for different organisations and institutes on Agriculture.He is a fellow member of many national and international professional organisations.
